Job Description:
We currently have a new opportunity for a dedicated PHP Web Developer to join our web development team. The role offers versatility and responsibility in a fun and challenging environment.
The main objective is to design and code technical solutions for our network of e-commerce websites. This will include trouble shooting and fixes, system improvements and development projects.
You will work closely with the Head of Web Development and another Php Web Developer to deliver projects efficiently and on time. You will also have regular contact with the marketing and product team, resolving issues and advising on system requirements in general product and website development.
The ideal candidate will be efficient, organised and motivated with good communication skills, able to work independently and as part of a team, and liaise with fellow techies and novices alike. If you enjoy multi-tasking and coming up with inventive solutions to complex problems, you will thrive in this role.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and code technical solutions for our network of e-commerce sites
• Identify and implement improvements and system developments
• Liaise with product and development teams
• Create efficient and logical databases
• Recognize system deficiencies and implement effective solutions
• Deliver projects to agreed timelines and coding standards
Skills Range:
• 1-2 years web development experience
• PHP, OOP (MVC structure)
• SQL, MySQL
• XHTML, CSS
• Javascript, JQuery
• Good understanding of complex databases, web concepts and design implications
• Knowledge of client server and internet systems architectures
• Ability to create well designed, reusable objects
• Understanding of browser specific compatibility issues
• Experience of ExpressionEngine and CodeIgniter an advantage
